Tool Explainers
Every Traderseg tool in one place - what it shows, how to read it, and how current the data is. Signals disagree. These panels tell you how much weight each one has earned.
Market Brief
Your at-a-glance market pulse. Live prices, news, calendar, sentiment, and positioning on one screen.
Use it to start the day: scan sentiment and news, check the calendar for event risk, glance at positioning. It’s situational awareness, not a signal generator.
Embedded quotes can run delayed. The Fear & Greed gauge is contrarian-leaning. The calendar covers event timing.
Stock Research
A filing-based look at any US-listed ticker. Profile, financials, dividends, decoded catalysts, and where the smart money stands.
Enter a ticker and the profile, financials, chart, and news load together. Use the profile and financials for the business, catalysts for what just changed, and the Smart Money section for conviction signals.
Sourced from SEC filings, which publish on a lag. “% of portfolio” is the position’s weight within that fund’s book.
Smart Money
What the world’s best investors actually own. Institutional positioning across a broad universe of high-conviction funds.
“Biggest Bets” = highest conviction, “Most-Held” = consensus names, “Recent Moves” = what changed last quarter, “Whale Portfolios” = per-fund holdings.
13F filings are quarterly and publish up to 45 days after quarter-end. 13D/13G (5%+ stakes) file within days. Shorts and derivatives sit outside 13F scope.
Seasonality
The average path a market has tended to take through the calendar year.
Pick a market and a 10/15/20-year lookback. Each month shows the average return and how often it was positive. A high win-rate plus a positive average signals a reliable seasonal tendency.
Each month is an average across the selected lookback window. Individual years vary widely around that average.
Correlations
What moves together rarely moves alone. A correlation matrix for building diversified, hedged exposure.
Green = move together, red = move opposite. Pair positives for theme exposure and pair negatives to hedge. The rebased chart compares % performance, not price.
Correlation measures co-movement between two series. Values drift, so a recent window can differ from a long one.
Risk Management Tools
Edge with sizing. How much to risk given your win rate and reward-to-risk.
Enter win probability, reward:risk, account size, and a Kelly multiplier, and it returns a suggested trade size. A lower multiplier (fractional Kelly) reduces volatility.
Educational only. A zero result means the inputs carry no edge. Full Kelly is aggressive. Fractional Kelly reduces volatility. The output follows the inputs.
Trading Simulator
Risk-free practice. Replay historical bars and execute trades to build skill.
Pick an instrument and timeframe, step the bars, and Buy/Sell/Close. Watch your session stats. A profit factor above 1 and positive expectancy mean a net-positive approach.
Fills are simulated at the displayed price. Slippage, commissions, and live-money conditions sit outside the model.
Heatmap
A full-screen market heatmap. The whole market’s performance and sector structure at a glance.
Big green = large-cap strength, big red = large-cap weakness. Scan sectors for where money is flowing.
A snapshot of the current session’s move. Tile size reflects market cap, so mega-caps dominate the view.
Macro Insight and Global Catalysts
The big-picture backdrop. Rates, central banks, catalysts, and the macro regime in one hub.
Start with the scorecard and brief for the current regime, scan catalysts for what’s coming, and check the bond/rates read for the risk backdrop before you size up.
Macro data updates on each source’s own cadence (central-bank meetings, scheduled releases). It frames the environment, not individual trade timing.
Trading Journal
Log and review every trade. Import your fills, track your stats, and debrief each session.
Import a broker CSV/ZIP, then read your stats: profit factor, expectancy, and win rate show whether your process is net-positive. Use debriefs to note what drove each day.
Stats are computed only from the trades you import, so they’re as complete as your uploads. Educational record-keeping, not tax or accounting output.
Educational information only - not financial advice.
